Performance Based
This kind of rare now a days as this type of music video could be seen as very boring as it is just the band singing but Green Day mange to make the video interesting by jumping around while playing their music so it makes it interesting. They also used Andrew Goodwin saying of getting lots of close up of the band and that keeps up with the pace of the song as it a very quick upbeat song.
Completely Narrative Based
In this music video they don’t have a point where the band appear in the video I like in this that it links in with what Carol Vernallis said when she said that the title of the song links in with the actions of the characters, this also links in with what Goodwin said the relation between the Music and Visual. The video is also very interesting as they like the video with the lyrics and I think that is very good.
Narrative Based
This music video shows an old man looking back at his past and his
past being portrayed in animation. the video also follows the lyrics
of the song and what is said in the song is what the person does.
The whole music video comes together to tell you a story which is
what you would need for it to be a narrative based music video.
Performance Based Narrative
This
music video is good because it tells a story that links in with
song which is what Goodwin and Versailles said about. The music
video is of the person going to court which their girlfriend over
something and he is telling his side of the story and the main
character in it is played by Plan B then with actions that they do it
keeps you hooked to the video.
